BlogHer attracts approximately 5,000 attendees and notable guest speakers such as Sheryl Sandberg (CEO of Facebook and author of Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead).
  • “Writing for Social Media,” VISIT Milwaukee, August 18, 2013. I developed this presentation for members of the Milwaukee area business community and Mount Mary University faculty. It was co-sponsored by VISIT Milwaukee, the Milwaukee tourism & convention bureau, and the University. Participants learned best practices for social media writing and how to use storytelling techniques to build and engage an audience. Participants also viewed examples of effective social media campaigns and received tips for ensuring their social media writing is dynamic and memorable. Andrea Hilkovitz co-led the workshop. Approximately 70 people attended.
